100% of the proceeds from the sale of VFI books and merchandise helps us continue to support the women in our jail-based creative writing workshops.
Women Writing in Jail, VFI’s 2011 anthology, features a selection of poetry and prose written by the women in VFI’s creative writing groups. In addition to being a great addition to a home library, Women Writing in Jail is also an excellent resource for local libraries or as a supplement for college courses in criminal justice, psychology, social work, or creative writing.
“In this second Voices from Inside collection, the writers confront with startling honesty who they have been, who they are, and who they are laboring to become. Their work is raw, poignant, and powerful. This is a moving and illuminating collection.” — Wally Lamb, author of The Hour I First Believed
Women Writing in Jail is available via PayPal or online at Levellers Press. Copies of VFI’s 2005 anthology, Women Writing in Prison, are also available for purchase.
Show your support with one of our new Voices from Inside t-shirts! You’ll look good and do good at the same time. The quote on the front of the shirt reads, “My greatest secret I keep on a piece of paper”. The line is from a poem by Nilsa, one of our incarcerated poets. (Want to read the whole poem? Buy the anthology too.) Shirts come in sizes small, medium, large, extra large, and 2XL, and are $15 (plus $4 shipping & handling). T-shirts can be purchased via our secure connection with PayPal.
All VFI merchandise may also be purchased by sending at check or money order to Voices from Inside, P.O. Box 60632, Florence, MA 01062.
